Travis has over 15 years experience as a Creative Director, brand creator and interactive strategist for companies such as ConocoPhillips Energy, American Airlines, Dr. Pepper/7up, Peterbilt, Texas Christian University, NorthPark Center, PaperCity Magazine, Klyde Warren Park, The Dallas Arboretum, Jan Showers & Assoc., Mockingbird Station, Fort Worth Stockyards and more.

Curtis Hale

Partner / Creative Director

Curtis Hale is a partner and Creative Director at The Old State House of Design and Development. He received his education at Texas Tech University and graduated first in his class in 2003 . After college, Curtis co-founded LiveSide Studio, a creative and interactive company, with Travis McElroy. After two years in business, Curtis took over the role of Art Director at another firm before he and Travis created The Old State. Curtis is passionate about creating functional beauty, whether it be a new brand, an interactive business tool, or a piece of furniture.

Kate Grabowski

Senior Project Manager

Kate is responsible for client relations new engagements, oversees project communication, scheduling, and keeps everyone on the same page with deliverables.

Ron LeonGuerrero

Director of Technology

Ron manages all teams involved with the development and support life cycles. He has over a decade of experience in the IT/Web industry and helps ensure that the behind the scenes processes stay up and running.

Brad Grabowski

UI/UX Manager

Brad oversees our front-end development and works closely with our creative director on every design ensuring User Experience and User Interface standards are in place for every project.  Brad also oversees our mobile design and development processes.  Brad has worked on various projects and apps across multiple mobile platforms creating highly usable and intuitive interfaces and engaging mobile experiences.

Steven Naimark

Senior Front-End Developer

Steven is our Senior Developer and handles the majority of all front-end coding and markup.  He provides efficient, clean markup as a foundation for our back-end development team to build on.

Will Echart

Art Director

Will's career has been built on the principles best summed up by his favorite John Wayne quote, "Tomorrow hopes we have learned something from yesterday."  For over 15 years, Will has possessed an eye for simple, effective designs, typography and color. This passion has created successful relationships in almost every industry. Will brings his extensive knowledge of branding and marketing to the TOS Team, as well as his willingness to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty. Will Echart is an "artdoor" enthusiast, bringing his love of the outdoors to the marketing world as The Old State's Art Director.

Shawn Ivie

Support Manager

Directly interacts as the bridge between the Client and Development, taking in requests from clients using ZenDesk and providing the development team with detailed instructions to ensure quick turnaround times. Handles all aspects of support, including: hardware & software upgrades, maintenance, transfers, quality assurance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, client training as well as assisting with design and programming.

David Swan

Junior Designer

David was born in London, but raised in the more culturally affluent city of Wichita, Kansas. Upon finishing high school, David decided to take his talents to the home of the 1997 National Champion Arizona Wildcats. At Arizona David studied graphic design and Wildcat basketball. After a decade of working for the same agency in Phoenix, David decided to move to Dallas to be closer to his family and explore new oportunities. When David isn’t creating a masterpiece at The Old State he enjoys sports and sampling refreshments from the local breweries in the Metroplex area.

Chase Uvodich

Junior Designer

Our newest design team member, Chase graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2011. He spent two years designing mobile application before coming to TOS where he has excelled designing for web.

Winston

Office Mascot

A full-bred beagle, Winston was rescued from Dallas Animal Shelter by Curtis Hale when he was only 2 years old. Now with 6 years of experience being a dog, he really brings a lot to the table. Despite having no formal education, Winston is proficient in shaking hands, sitting, eating really fast, and sniffing out the tiniest morsel of food. He is currently studying rolling over. Winston enjoys walks, playing in the dog park, and spending time with his best friend Vincent, the cat from next door.
